| A resident of Calvert County Maryland, Carol's passion for art began as a small child with encouragement from her grandmother who was also an artist. Throughout grade school, she excelled in several arts enrichment courses at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. Following high school, she pursued her passion for art and received her Bachelor's of Art degree from the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore, where she majored in graphic design and painting. Developing her professional skill set through experiences with printing companies, studios, and ad agencies throughout the DC Metropolitan area, her work included logo design, graphic packages, publication and signage design, displays, and hand drawn illustrations as well as digital illustration.
The creative expression of Carol's paintings and mixed media pieces have always inspired her work as a professional graphic designer, with a consistent focus on composition, color, and appealing concepts. Carol primarily uses acrylic paints for her works though has also enjoyed experimenting with mixed media as well. The core of her passion has always been in the Fine Arts, providing a platform to express herself as an artist without boundaries, driving rewarding experimentation, and creativity.
Carol Wade has served as a Graphic Designer at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) in La Plata, Maryland for the past 30 years.
