Suzanne Nawrot
Bead Artist

Suzanne Nawrot is a self-taught beading artist. She moved with her husband and two children to Maryland from Michigan in 1987. She has worked for the Federal government since 1988, initially as a secretary. She has done Web design and development and created many of the web graphics. Her current position is Web Manager.

In 2003, as an outlet for her creativity, Suzanne began creating badge lanyards out of fishing line and assorted beads for the women in her division. They proved very popular and soon she was selling them to the women at work, perfecting her technique and designs along the way.

Within a year she was creating beaded jewelry and selling her designs to co-workers, family, and friends. Her one-of-a-kinds designs consist mostly of semi-precious gemstones and precious metals. Her portfolio has expanded to include various other beaded items including ornament hangers, cell phone straps, and cake testers.

Suzanne designed and created the bride's maids jewelry for both her children's weddings. She hopes her jewelry making will provide the ability to supplement her income doing something she loves and enjoys.
