| Megan comes from of long line of artsy women. Her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were all talented artists. Megan finds inspiration from the natural world. Hours spent walking in the woods behind her home, hiking in the Cascades and Adirondacks with her husband and three children, and long summers spent on Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron have all influenced her work. Megan is primarily a watercolor artist . She finds joy in the process of painting, discovering new colors and color combinations, watching the movement of the paint flow across the paper and most of all she likes the surprises that appear unexpectedly.
Megan has a B.A. in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University. She has studied watercolor painting with Mary Blumberg at the Studio School at Annmarie Garden in Dowell, MD and with Rachel Collins at the Art League School.in Alexandria, VA. Megan volunteers at Annmarie Garden and is a member of the Calvert Artist’s Guild. Megan is also a certified Montessori teacher.
