Pat Troiani, a former art teacher in Pennsylvania public schools for 15 years retired to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1985. She began teaching watercolor painting, composition, and instruction to adults in her home studio and has also continued her career as a profiessional watercolor artist. Schools attended include Traphagen School of Design, New York City, NY; Millersville State University, Lancaster, PA; and earned an MFA from Maryland Institute, College of Art, Baltimore, MD. In 2008 she moved to Solomon's, MD.

Pat's subjects are inspired by the scenery and life on the Outer Banks such as the many lighthouses, historic structures such as the Whale Head Club, the beautiful and abundant wildlife, and colorful flowers with an emphasis on the Bearded Iris. While specializing in traditional watercolor techniques, Pat also uses a technique known as collage in many of ~ I her paintings. Paintings of pets or your home are also available by appointment.
