Lesley Alexander - Painter
A photograph captures an image, but a painting captures the feeling. Lesley paints to capture the feeling and personality of her subjects. From her favorite equines and canines to the texture and tones of flowers and water, Lesley communicates her vision in her artwork.
The majority of her work is acrylic paintings and graphite drawings. She has been focusing her work on animals, plants and most recently water to expand her artistic style and face new technical challenges. Ever since growing up riding and showing horses, her true passion is painting equines to capture their beauty and movement.
Lesley received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts. She recently moved from Connecticut to Maryland where she lives with her husband and corgi, Lexy.
