Kathleen Addario - Jeweler
Born in Albany, New York, Kathleen never compromised her vision of working in the arts. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from State University of New York, where her studies included one semester in Italy. She worked with fine art conservator from 1980 to 1994, conserving and restoring paintings. During this time she also managed a gallery/frame shop and continued to do free-lance art and illustration. Kathleen has participated in many juried art shows in the New York including The Riverfront Art Festival, The International Gallery, Center Gallery shows, fund-raising auctions for Whiskers Animal Benevolent League and The Adirondack Regional Competition which hung in the Hyde Collection Museum in Glens Falls, New York. She also was chosen to display her art at the first Lalapolooza Festival in Saratoga Springs. Since moving to North Beach in 1998, Kathleen has continued to work as an artist/illustrator and to design and create jewelry primarily using semiprecious stones and sea glass. Her art and jewelry can be seen at Artworks @ 7th in North Beach, Maryland.
