I have always been drawn to create and have done one form of art or another as long as I can remember.  I was born in upstate New York and moved to Maryland when I was 19, in 1995. I was accepted to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY and completed a semester of foundation before I left to help care for my father.

 

I fell out of art while pursuing my full-time career as a fleet mechanic and Manager with Prince Georges County Public Schools.  I found art again with Pyrography, the art of drawing with heat and fire, and happily have settled into this medium.  I am influenced by rural southern Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay, while my more whimsical, and sometime darker pieces, come from my love of genre fiction, weird tales, fantasy, sci-fi, and comic books.
