Tara Tokarski

As an illustrator, professor, and fine artist, I am passionate about storytelling in its many forms. My art invites you on a journey, sometimes through a straightforward narrative and other times through skillful manipulation of design elements and principles. I like to encourage you to reconnect with the enchanting adventures of your childhood.

These artworks are not just visual experiences; they are rich in hidden meanings that linger in the narrative's unspoken gaps. Light is essential in my paintings, illuminating crucial details—whether it creates an enchanting glow, sets a dramatic mood, evokes a sense of mystery, or subtly directs your gaze. Embrace your inner child and allow your imagination to fill in the story's blanks. Experience the magic that awaits in every piece.

I have been fortunate to illustrate several books for Barnes and Noble. My Halloween Cookbook was proudly featured on Martha Stewart's Favorite Things list. I have actively participated in a range of prestigious exhibitions, including the Orlando Museum Shows, City Art Shows in Downtown Orlando, and the Annmarie Sculpture Garden shows. My work has also been displayed in numerous exhibitions across Maryland, Florida, and Virginia. It’s important to note that my most significant influence stems from my extensive experience working at Walt Disney World, which has shaped my artistic style in meaningful ways. Thank you for looking at my work.
